We have Steve Smyth, the famous guitarist that stayed in several world-class famous bands like Testament, Nevermore and Forbidden; Mikkel Sandager, the former vocalist of Mercenary, Jamie Hunt, original Biomechanical guitarist, Tomas Koefoed, Mnemic's last bassist; and Raphael Saini, who was the drummer for Chaoswave not too long ago. The common charactieristic among all of them, is the use of past tense in description of their tenures. For present tense they have One Machine, the new project started by Steve Smyth with each member hand-picked by him, whom are from all different countries. That make One Machine some unemployment club for heavy metal musicians.
Before the release of their debut album in 2014, the band released the title track of the band as their first single before the end of this year. Showcasing the outstanding as always talent of the two guitarist as well as versatile vocal performance by Mikkel Sandager, One Machine sounds just like the deceased Nevermore in their pre-This Godless Endeavor time. That's interesting, as one reason Nevermore switched from their usual atmostpheric route to became heavier more technical in This Godless Endeavor, was the joining of Steve Smyth in that album. Let's see if One Machine is really the new Sanctuary for all longing Nevermore fans.
